RAID or Redundant Array of Independent Disks is inexpensive technology available in the industry use for virtualization data storage. It also syndicates different disk drive components into one unit for data redundancy and improving performance of a business process outsourcing organization.
An array of RAID or redundant array of independent disks appears
to the OS (operating system) as a single hard disk drive. Different components
are assembled into one particular disk. RAID works as the procedure of disk
mirroring or striping.
The technicality involves in segregating each part of drive’s storage space into different units which range from a particular sector of 512 bytes and up to several megabytes. Numerous stripes of all disks are enclosed and catered in proper order.
